Genesis 4:21:..His brother's name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute

 

I Sammuel 10:5-6......As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, tambourines, flutes, and harps, being played in before them , and they will be prophesying. Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.

 

2 Sammuel 6:14..Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.

 

I Sammuel 16:23...And it came to pass, when the [evil] spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

 

1 Chronicles 25:1...Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was.

2 Chronicles 20:21....And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy [endureth] for ever.

 

2 Chronicles 29:27...And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began [also] with the trumpets, and with the instruments [ordained] by David king of Israel.

 

Nehemiah 12:31   So I brought the leaders of Judah up on the wall, and appointed two large thanksgiving choirs. One went .. to the right ...[vs. 38] The second choir proceded in the opposite direction.   [vs. 43] And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and the children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.

 

Job 38:4,7-8.........Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Who laid it's cornerstone, while the morning stars sang together, and all the angels shouted for joy?

 

Isaiah 30:29....You shall have a song as in the night when a holy festival is kept, and gladness of heart; as when one goes with a flute, to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the Mighty One of Israel.

 

Zechariah 9:14....And the LORD shall be seen over them, and His arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
